How apostille works in Izmir

Who issues apostilles in Türkiye?

Apostilles for judicial documents (court decisions, criminal records) are issued by the justice commissions of the courts of first instance.

Apostille or consular legalisation?
If the destination country is party to the Apostille Convention, an apostille is usually sufficient. For non-member countries (for example the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iraq or Egypt) consular or embassy legalisation is required. Our country pages show the current status for each destination.

Do I need to visit an office in Izmir?
