How are prices for translation and legalisation calculated?
The price depends on the type and length of the document, the language pair, the certifications required (notary, apostille, consulate, embassy) and the deadline. Instead of a fixed price list we therefore quote every request individually. Just send us a scan of your document.
How long does it take?
Standard document translations are usually delivered quickly. Notarisation, apostilles and especially consular or embassy legalisation take additional time. Our quote states the timeline for your file, and we offer solutions for urgent requests.
Do I need to visit your office?
No. You can send your documents by e-mail or through the contact form. Where originals are needed they are collected by courier, and finished documents are sent to your address. We serve all 81 provinces of Türkiye.
How can I use a foreign document in Türkiye?
The document first needs an apostille in the issuing country (or consular legalisation if that country is not party to the Apostille Convention). It is then translated into Turkish by a sworn translator in Türkiye and notarised if required. Our international network can take care of the steps abroad as well.
Which countries accept an apostille?
All states party to the Hague Apostille Convention. See our country pages for the current status. Non-member countries require consular or embassy legalisation.
Is my personal data safe?
Your documents are processed only to fulfil your request and in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the GDPR. Our translators are bound by confidentiality.
How far in advance should I book an interpreter?
As early as possible, especially for rare languages and simultaneous interpreting. We also do our best to cover short-notice notary or land registry appointments.
What is the difference between a certified and a notarised translation?
In a certified translation the sworn translator confirms the translation with their stamp and signature. In a notarised translation a Turkish notary additionally certifies the translator's signature and sworn status. The receiving authority decides which one is needed; ask us if you are unsure.
Can I send my documents by e-mail?
Yes. A legible scan or photo is usually enough for the quote and the translation. Where the original is required (for example for an apostille) we will explain the courier and hand-over options.
Does every authority require notarisation?
No. Some authorities accept a certified translation alone. Tell us where the document is going and we will clarify which certification is needed.
Can a foreign document be apostilled in Türkiye?
No. An apostille is always issued by the competent authority of the country that issued the document. For a foreign document we obtain the apostille in that country through our international network, then provide the certified translation and notarisation in Türkiye.
Does an apostilled document also need a translation?
Usually yes. The receiving country normally asks for a certified translation into its language, and some also require the translation itself to be apostilled. We clarify this for your specific file.
How long does consular legalisation take?
It depends on the type of document, the destination country and the consulate's schedule. After reviewing your file we give you a realistic timeline and price.
Do I have to go to the embassy in person?
For most legalisations, no; we submit and collect the documents for you. In the rare cases where a personal appearance is required, we tell you in advance.
Is the original needed for a certified copy?
Yes. The notary certifies that the copy matches the original, so the original has to be presented to the notary.
I live abroad. How can I grant a power of attorney for use in Türkiye?
There are usually two routes: having it drawn up at the Turkish consulate in your country, or signing it before a local notary and then obtaining an apostille (or consular legalisation) and a certified Turkish translation. We help you choose the right route.
From which countries can you obtain documents?
Besides Türkiye, we can obtain documents from many countries through our international offices and partner network. Send us your request and we will confirm timing and cost for that country.
Do I need an interpreter at the land registry?
Foreign nationals who do not speak Turkish are generally required to be accompanied by an interpreter at the land registry. Send us the date and place and we will schedule a suitable interpreter.
