Using Turkish documents in Germany
The Convention entered into force for Germany on 13 February 1966. Public documents issued in Türkiye are generally accepted by the authorities in Germany with an apostille; no consular legalisation is needed.
Authorities in Germany usually ask for a certified translation into German. Some accept a Turkish sworn translation that has been notarised and apostilled; others prefer a translation by a sworn translator in Germany. Thanks to our international network we can offer both options.
