Using Turkish documents in Portugal
The Convention entered into force for Portugal on 4 February 1969. Public documents issued in Türkiye are generally accepted by the authorities in Portugal with an apostille; no consular legalisation is needed.
Authorities in Portugal usually ask for a certified translation into Portuguese. Some accept a Turkish sworn translation that has been notarised and apostilled; others prefer a translation by a sworn translator in Portugal. Thanks to our international network we can offer both options.
