Using Turkish documents in Vietnam
The Convention entered into force for Vietnam on 11 September 2026. Public documents issued in Türkiye are generally accepted by the authorities in Vietnam with an apostille; no consular legalisation is needed.
Authorities in Vietnam usually ask for a certified translation into Vietnamese. Some accept a Turkish sworn translation that has been notarised and apostilled; others prefer a translation by a sworn translator in Vietnam. Thanks to our international network we can offer both options.
Vietnam acceded to the Convention and some contracting states have objected to its accession; the apostille does not apply in relations with objecting states. We confirm for every file that the apostille is accepted between Türkiye and Vietnam.
Using documents from Vietnam in Türkiye
Documents issued by authorities in Vietnam must first receive an apostille in Vietnam. They are then translated into Turkish by a sworn translator in Türkiye and notarised if the receiving institution requires it. Our international network can take care of the apostille for you.
